EDUCATION REQUIREMENT FOR A HOUSEKEEPER

A formal education is not required to become a housekeeper, although employers prefer to hire people who have a high school education. Most hotels and motels provide on-the-job training. Hotel housekeepers must be able to work quickly and efficiently without invading their guests' privacy and should have a neat, clean appearance.

What do Hotel House Keepers Do?

Hotel housekeepers clean the guestrooms and public areas of hotels, motels, and other kinds of lodgings.

They are also called roomkeepers, room attendants, room cleaners, or maids.

You see them pushing a trolley from room to room, pushing a cart filled with cleaning supplies as well as fresh sheets and towels, and stocks of plastic shower caps, shoe shine sponges, and little sewing kits.

    The Bottom Line

Trust Method to convince us to throw in the towel, along with our rags, cloths, sponges and more. Method Microfiber cleaning cloths are fabulous at grabbing and trapping dust, dirt, and debris without scratching surfaces. Although they often won't need any cleaning solution, they are specially formulated and paired with Method surface sprays to clean glass and mirrors, granite, wood, and stainless steel. These cloths do a great job at cleaning and don't cost an arm and a leg.

Guide Review - Method Microfiber Cleaning Cloths

Method has four Microfiber Cleaning Cloths it thinks can cut your cleaning time. There is a bright blue one paired with Method's Mint Window Wash, one steely gray cloth paired with Method's Stainless Steel Cleaner, one a rich brown paired with Method's Wood For Good Cleaner, and the last a soft gray paired with Method's Daily Granite Spray.

Now, I love a good Microfiber cloth, and these are great. The fibers are split 16 times and continue to split when you wash them. They hold quite a bit of liquid, which is great when you want to buff a stainless steel sink, granite countertop, wooden hutch, or glass door without leaving streaks or cleanser residue. These cloths really hold their dust and dirt. My children were amazed to see dust sticking to the cloth, and yet when the microfiber cloth was shaken, the dust remained stuck fast.

Microfiber cloths are a great tool to cut cleaning time and effort, and Method has introduced some fantastic ones for us to use.
